About Us

Weiviolin was founded and is operated by violinist Chieh Wei Chang, guided by the principles of professional recommendation, integrity in every transaction, and thoughtful, detailed consultation. Years of experience in violin performance and the collection of fine string instruments have shaped his professional expertise and refined artistic perspective in the violin trade. His ongoing dedication to instrument authentication, preservation, and maintenance continues to expand through constant research and knowledge development.

During his student years, an unfortunate experience involving the purchase of a counterfeit instrument from an unethical dealer deeply influenced Chieh Wei Chang’s commitment to authenticity and transparency. Since then, careful verification of provenance and honest communication in every transaction have become fundamental values at Weiviolin.

We offer a diverse selection of string instruments suited to musicians at every stage — from beginners and advancing students to teachers, professional performers, and collectors. Our collection ranges from high-quality instruments ideal for newcomers and conservatory students to fine violins and bows of international reputation for artists and discerning collectors. With carefully curated selections, you no longer need to search endlessly; the instrument you are looking for can be found here.

In addition to string instruments, Weiviolin also provides bows sourced from various countries, professionally categorized with meticulous attention to detail, offering musicians a refined and diverse range of choices.
