Chieh-Wei Chang

Chieh-Wei Chang is a Taiwanese violinist who is passionate about violin teaching and performances. He won the second place honors in the Taiwan Violin Nationals and studied in the National Taiwan University of Arts and the Taipei National University of the Arts. During this period, Chieh-Wei Chang served the concert master of the school orchastra and has won numerous solo concerto competitions. Chieh-Wei Chang also studied at the Mannes School of Music in New York, where he gained ample overseas performance and teaching experiences. Chieh-Wei Chang has been collecting violins and bows since his university days, and he now owns a rather sizable collection. His absolute favorite violin is the exquisite 1753 G. B. Guadagnini. Chieh-Wei Chang is currently the CEO of the Taiwan Classical Music Network and founder of Wei Violin.

Hung-Wei Huang

Taiwanese born violist Hungwei Huang began his music lessons at the age of seven, with Lin Chia-zong, and won the Taiwan National Instrumental Competition in 1993. The following year, he was accepted at The Curtis Institute of Music, serving as Principal Viola of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra and studying with Michael Tree, Joseph de Pasquale and Karen Tuttle. He then went to The Juilliard School, working with Samuel Rhodes. At the Mannes College of Music, he studied with Huang Hsin-yun and received the most distinguished student award.

In 2002, he became the youngest Principal Viola of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. In year 2005, he was appointed by Maestro Chung Myung-Whun as the Principal viola of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.

Now, he is serving as a Guest Principal Viola of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra.
